The Deep Roots, New Vision Campaign:

The Dance family has DEEP ROOTS in the community as County residents for over 35 years, and with a long history of community service. I love Flagler County. I grew up in this community and in this school system. I saw the time and commitment my parents made to make this a better place to live. My motivation for the School Board comes from wanting to see great things happen in our schools, for my children and yours. Nothing more. I feel it is my responsibility and duty to give back and support my community, and I want to set the same example for my children.

I have DEEP ROOTS in volunteer community organizations that benefit our children and the schools. Through my leadership in these organizations, I have established a trusting and effective working relationship with a wide cross section of county residents, parents, government managers and elected officials. (please see the "About Andy" page for details on these outstanding organizations)

I have DEEP ROOTS in our local business community as a small business owner. I support our business community by volunteering my time and leadership on the Board of Directors for:
- Flagler County Chamber of Commerce
- Enterprise Flagler, Past Director
- Chairman of Palm Coast’s Beautification and Environmental Advisory Board, Past-Director
It is these partnerships with the local community that will make me an effective School Board member.
That brings us to NEW VISION…

The reason I am running for the School Board is to provide a NEW VISION and new perspective to the School Board. I firmly believe that the Board needs new vision and direction from a local business owner that is active in the local business community. I will bring a fresh look at finances and mandate efficient use of our tax dollars. History proves that the most successful School Boards are those that have a significant representation from local business leaders.

I have a NEW VISION for Board Member accessibility and communication. We must build a stronger partnership with our stakeholders, by opening up lines of communication and providing better accountability and transparency with Board finances and issues. As small business owner and parent with three elementary-aged children in the school system and playing sports, I am always visible in the community and available when needed. I pledge to communicate openly and directly to you via frequent Town Hall meetings, through community and school organizations (Rotary, Kiwanis, Boy and Girl Scouts, SAC, PTA, etc), and through my website, www.gr8flaglerschools.com. This is your school system, and you need a voice.
